Hi! I'm Melissa, the owner of Lilac Creative. I started this business when I realized that many small business need marketing help, but don't need a full-time team. After years of helping friends and family with small requests, I decided to take the plunge and leave the corporate world to make freelancing my full-time gig.
Throughout this journey, I found my passion for proofreading. I've always enjoyed conducting research, which many of my friends find unusual, but quite helpful at times. This interest eventually led me to train to become a transcript proofreader for court reporters. I graduated the Proofreading Business Coach's transcript proofreading program and haven't looked back!
Freelancing full-time allows me to make you my priority! I’m a perfectionist and have a keen eye for detail. I love true crime, traveling, having my hands in the dirt, music, and books. And I’ve got two cats who love to "help" me proofread!

Here’s the simple process:
- Email me your PDF transcript file.
- Share the specifics on when you need it back and any preferences you have. If you need a preferences form, just let me know.
- I proof to your preferences and email you the file back in your requested time frame!
